Paul Grimwood

Civil and Commercial Mediator

Practice Overview

A patient, practical and common sense approach is the key to the successful resolution of any dispute. Paul Grimwood, Head of Dispute Resolution at Hart Brown Solicitors with over 25 years’ experience of litigation and 15 years as a mediator has all of these qualities.   His calm manner puts all parties at their ease in even the most emotionally charged situations but is coupled with an energetic determination to achieve a settlement which all parties can sign up to.

Although adept at mediating on a whole range of issues, in recent years Paul has, in terms of his legal work, increasingly focused on contentious trust and probate cases, Inheritance Act claims, Court of Protection matters, contentious attorneyships and inter vivos undue influence claims.  He also deals with professional negligence disputes including in the past clinical negligence claims.

Having qualified as a mediator in 2001, he has conducted numerous mediations and in the field of contentious trusts and probate and Inheritance Act claims every mediation so far has been successful.

In short his USP is that he is “Understanding, Straightforward and Professional”.
