ADR Group CPD Requirement
Training and maintaining standards
in ADR
CPD Policy
This CPD requirement applies to all corporate or individual
members. The aim is to ensure best practice amongst our membership
to maintain our standards as one of the leading providers
of mediation in Europe. ADR Group CPD points are not necessarily
equivalent to points other professional bodies may apply (e.g.
The Law Society), although they may well count towards these
requirements.
Cost
There is no administration fee for our CPD programme - we
see this as being part of your membership. Fees however will
apply for any specific training or de-briefing sessions that
you attend.
CPD Requirement
To maintain full ADR Group panel mediator status members will
have to complete 16 points of ADR Group CPD training every
2 calendar years. For those members that join part way through
the year their CPD requirement will operate on a pro-rata
basis.
In order to make this requirement as inclusive
and unobtrusive as possible points will be awarded for a variety
of events, including non-ADR Group specific training. The
table below indicates how points can be obtained.
Reporting requirement
As we will not be charging any fee to administer and monitor
this CPD programme the onus rests with you to maintain accurate
records of your training. As points are also awarded for non-ADR
Group events you will need to keep full records to produce
to us on an annual basis. Save as for the post-mediation feedback
form you will not be required to submit any formal log immediately
after an event.
Upon renewal of your membership we will
send you a CPD schedule which we will ask you to complete
and send back with you annual remittance. Your individual
certificates will only be sent out once your completed CPD
form has been received.
Training courses
Although we will be staging advanced training throughout the
year, it is often very difficult to deliver a course that
meets the needs of all members. If you therefore have a particular
requirement we will work with you to design a course. Where
required, all courses can also be delivered in-house.

Workshops may consist of a variety of events
arranged by ADR Group and designed to encourage participation
amongst members to discuss and develop key sector specific
targets. Events are likely to be 2-3 hours in length.
