ADR Net Membership Packages
Newly qualified mediators seeking to develop their mediation career usually consider three options:
- Develop / market their own services
- Join a local or regional mediation association
- Join a national accredited body
ADR Net is a part of a national accredited body (ADR Group) and has created a national mediator panel for those mediators wishing to practice mediation at the highest level. ADR Net’s Network of ADR professionals enables panel members the opportunity to mediate on 1) wide range of private civil and commercial referrals 2) the National Mediation Helpline 3) a number of court annexed mediation schemes (under the auspices of the Department of Constitutional Affairs).
ADR Net Limited Panel members include solicitors, barristers, accountants, surveyors and other registered professionals. We recognise that mediators from different backgrounds have different requirements and believe their membership packages should reflect this. Over the last 16 years, ADR Net have listened to their members and now offer three membership packages designed to compliment their requests.
ADR Group work with potential members to discuss their requirements and which type of membership is best suited to their needs. Membership can be discussed before or after becoming an accredited mediator.
The three types of membership packages currently offered are:
1) Corporate Membership
This is aimed at mediators within medium to large law firms, barristers chambers or professional associations. The membership package is ideal if there are more than two mediators who are accredited and wish to receive mediation appointments. Up to five mediators are eligible to join the ADR Group Mediator Panel. Should the entity company join prior to training, the first three delegates attending our mediator accreditation programme will receive a 40% training discount. Corporate membership is aimed at the overall business so the benefits associated with this package are open to all working within the entity. Corporate membership is also used as a marketing tool and throughout the year, there are many opportunities to work in conjunction with ADR Group to host mediation events for clients, colleagues and other professional networking groups.
2) Individual Membership
This is aimed at either a single mediator within legal or business entity or an independent mediator working from home. This form of membership is best suited to the dedicated ADR professional within a legal or business where financial restrictions do not allow corporate membership. Individual membership provides an ideal opportunity to offer an additional service to clients and be involved in a fast growing market. The benefits of the Individual membership package will be for the sole benefit of the individual. In addition to being eligible to receiving mediation appointments there are discounts on training and networking events.
3) Associate Membership
This is aimed at newly qualified mediators. The associate membership package allows mediators to gain some mediation experience before paying full individual membership. This membership package offers mediators a chance to mediate numerous types of disputes to increase their areas of specialism. Associate members are only eligible to receive mediation appointments connected with one of the recognised Court Scheme programmes, National Mediation Helpline or other ADR Scheme. This category of membership does not allow the member to receive a private referrals through ADR Group. Associate members can upgrade to individual or corporate membership at any time.
