Adrian Bingham
Adrian applies a combination of business awareness, legal expertise, and logical analysis in a courteous, good humoured but precise manner. This approach enables the parties to clarify and quantify the issues and tests their expectations, whilst at the same time Adrian establishes a good rapport with the parties and manages the process to a resolution. He is familiar with construction and insurance industry practices, amongst other areas of commerce, and has a good head for technical detail. He has conducted 16 mediations with a success rate of over 85%.
Adrian Llewelyn-Evans
Adrian is a full time mediator specialising in commercial disputes. He was previously a Head of Disputes at Burges Salmon, involved in heavyweight disputes. He has been an accredited mediator for more than 10 years. He regularly trains and presents at seminars including a Masterclass for ADR Group. He has mediated numerous disputes across the UK with a high settlement rate and outstanding feedback from those involved. He is mediating most weeks.

Alan Hendon
Alan has currently conducted in over 20 mediations with a settlement rate in excess of 80%. Mediations undertaken have ranged in nature from car leasing, through eviction cases to building and professional negligence disputes. With his considerable experience of the construction industry, ancillary activities and commerce in general Alan has the ability to identify and understand the important issues in a dispute. He then applies his knowledge to get disputing parties to recognise the strengths and weaknesses of their case and take this into their account in their deliberations.
Alan Langleben
Alan is a very experienced litigation solicitor who has been a mediator since April 2000. He has always preferred to resolve disputes in his litigation practice through negotiation and mediation before becoming a mediator himself. He has a quiet authority and the determination to get to the bottom of the real issues in any dispute but at the same time is very user friendly, relaxed and good humoured.
Alex Bevan
Alex has been instructed to act as mediator in over 240 cases. These have involved a wide range of commercial and civil disputes. Mediations have been conducted and coordinated in England involving foreign jurisdictions. Alex has a civil litigation background and wide experience of acting for both Claimants and Defendants. He specialises in large one-off cases and is currently engaged in an international trade mark and passing off case acting for the claimant in a multi-million pound claim. Alex’s specialist areas are Commercial litigation, Pension and Financial Services litigation and Employment law.
Alex Jakubowski
Alex is a solicitor specialising in general commercial and professional negligence litigation. He has a particular experience of the retail sector and of professional negligence and fraud claims for lenders. He has spent time on secondment to a large client whom he advises on a number of high value complex disputes relating to procurement of software, services and goods. Alex's secondment has helped him to develop empathy with parties involved in a dispute because he has experienced first hand the commercial and political considerations that drive decisions. He is member of the Law Society's Civil and Commercial Mediation Accreditation Scheme.
Andrew Eastgate
Andrew has been leading and advising on negotiations for more than 20 years. A corporate finance solicitor, Andrew was a partner in Pinsents in Birmingham until 2004. Andrew has been conducting mediations since 2005 and combines his mediation practice with his involvement as a non-executive director of a building products company.
Andrew Olins
Key to the success of any mediation is the mediator's ability to engender an atmosphere that enables the parties to negotiate their way through seemingly intractable disputes. Andrew has this skill and it derives from a combination of qualities that Andrew possesses. He is a good listener, communicates in language that lay clients appreciate, and he has an innate ability to stimulate dialogue 'across the divide'.
Andrew Paton
Andrew is one of the pioneers of mediation in the UK. He was amongst the first cohort of mediators to be accredited by ADR Group in 1990 and has subsequently written and lectured widely on the use of mediation. He is convinced that there is barely any dispute which is incapable of resolution through mediation. His facilitative style and easy manner help him to win the trust and confidence of the parties quickly which in turn helps him to help them to find a solution that they can live with.

Barry Frieslander
Barry has a sharp commercially analytical mind and a practical approach to problem solving. His easy manner makes him very approachable, having the right temperament to develop rapport, empathy and trust with all the parties from the outset. He is a first-class listener and is non-judgmental, treating all parties with integrity and respect. Barry concentrates on understanding the disputant's needs, requirements and expectations. He is quick to spot the key issues and to focus minds on a realistic outcome while maintaining a flexible approach.
Charles Powell
Charles has been advising on commercial dispute resolution for over 25 years and has been an active mediator for over 15 years. He has conducted over 250 commercial mediations. Charles applies his broad experience with commonsense and endeavours to keep the clients focused on the solution to their problems.

Clare Ward-Smith
Clare is a practising Litigation lawyer with thirteen year’s experience. She is a qualified Solicitor Advocate (with higher rights of audience) and an accredited practising mediator. She specialises in professional indemnity claims (especially those related to the business and financial sectors) Insurance and Commercial Litigation. Clare is also, an avid writer and presenter (in a semi-professional capacity). This aspect of Clare’s work requires more creative abilities than her legal role. Clare’s broad experience in both Commercial Litigation and Communication sectors enables her to bring a combination of strength, tenacity, diplomacy, imagination and common sense to her mediations. She has had great success and as a result, last year Clare was commissioned to produce a Mediation E-Module for Lexis Nexis, which is now on the market.

Dave Owen
Dave's background as a chartered surveyor and over 30 years of property development and investment work has given him very wide experience of dealing with potential and actual disputes. He sees mediation as being invaluable in resolving such disputes without incurring horrendous costs, both in management time and money. As the owner of a property development and investment group, he is all too aware that management time is often diverted from creating value, rather than just dividing it.
David Daly
David has completed over 100 commercial mediations, mostly to do with land, probate or employment which is the focus of his practice as a Barrister. He is both relaxed and authoritative, bringing to the parties in mediation a unique combination of people skills. He maintains control of the process and values everybody's time. He avoids if possible keeping the parties well into the evening. He does not let the grass grow under his feet, keeps up the momentum and achieves very good results quickly. He displays a sense of humour whilst maintaining a businesslike approach.
David Evans
David is a solicitor and chartered civil engineer. During 2008 he mediated in 20 disputes. He consistently receives good feedback from mediating parties. He was first asked to act as a mediator in 1999. In recent years David has developed a substantial mediation practice across the UK in civil and commercial disciplines acting as a mediator in all manner of disputes involving substantial claims and several parties.
David Griffiths
David is a strong advocate of the benefits of mediation and has over 25 years experience of commercial dispute resolution. His qualification and experience as a business executive coach have equipped him to deal with emotionally charged conflict. He combines this with a sound technical grasp of the law and for over 20 years was the leading editor of the standard handbook on company winding up procedures. He is a licensed insolvency practitioner. Specialises in all areas of commercial dispute resolution particularly insolvency and debt procedures, professional negligence, partnership, shareholder and banking disputes.
David Hooper
David has mediated a wide variety of problems ranging from boundary disputes to complex partnership dissolutions, compensation claims and contractual disputes relating to both property and businesses. He is an excellent communicator, with an incisive, analytical mind. He is a lateral thinker which, combined with his professional experience, enables him to help parties find practical solutions to their disputes.
David Madden
Consistent strengths demonstrated throughout David's career in the Diplomatic Service, and thereafter as Political Adviser to the EU Peace-Keeping Force in Bosnia and Hercegovina, are negotiating expertise, strategic thinking and dispute settlement. He believes in helping get results through his patience and diplomatic skills, and has consistently shown an ability to help parties find a way through their difficulties. He has an open and down-to-earth approach, marked also by friendliness, wit and tact.
David Rawlinson
David believes in a facilitative approach to mediation but is prepared to probe the parties cases thought reality testing. He adopts a calm and courteous manner, always concentrating on the building of rapport with the parties, and is patient but persistent. He strives to take the heat out of emotional situations, and always endeavours to explore different or innovative ways to approach settlement.

David Smith
David's impressive academic background allows him to excel at problem analysis. His varied experience in several roles and legal background as a property support lawyer means that he can offer both practical and commercial skills to problem solving. He currently mediates for a local charity and specialises in neighbour disputes offering calm and rational solutions to ensure a workable agreements in what can be an emotionally charged environment.
Dennis Baldwin
Dennis is a seasoned professional dispute resolution practitioner with over 20 years' full-time experience in resolving construction and commercial disputes, ranging in value from £5k to £5m, in litigation, arbitration, adjudication and mediation. With over 20 mediations to date to add to his tally of over 150 decisions as an adjudicator and awards as an arbitrator, Dennis brings to mediation an in-depth knowledge of dispute resolution and a wealth of experience of managing people, problems and process.
Dominic Nolan
Dominic Nolan is a natural communicator well used in professional practice and in his judicial capacitiy to dealing effectively and considerately with parties from vastly varying backgrounds. He has espoused and promoted for many years the benefits of Alternative Dispute Resolution, having proposed and conducted dozens of settlement meetings in high value litigation.
Don McCue
Don is a London based barrister with over 30 years' experience in contract, construction and engineering, professional negligence, partnership and cohabitee property disputes. He was one of the first barristers to undertake public access work - dealing with clients without a solicitor. He has advised and acted in numerous high value mediations and has been a mediator since 2004. Known for his thorough preparation, adept at identifying the key issues and a good listener, he uses the flexibility of the mediation process to the full. He quickly develops rapport with the parties and enables them to feel they have been heard, while calmly and assiduously managing the process so as to keep it on track towards resolution.
Duncan Aldred
Duncan is a solicitor and partner with London law firm CMS Cameron McKenna LLP. He has worked on a wide range of commercial, banking and insolvency-related disputes. His long experience acting for parties to litigation has reinforced Duncan's belief in the value of a settlement at the right price, and acting on numerous occasions for parties to mediations has bolstered his belief in the process and knowledge of how it is used to best effect.
Duncan Jarrett
Duncan is a former Hostage Negotiator with over 20 years experience. He has been a commercial mediator for the last three years. He has a calm relaxed manner that belies a resolve, determination and integrity that has been refined from the experience of negotiating the safe release of hostages in countries such as Afghanistan, Chechnya, Yemen, China, Asia, West Indies and Peru.
Euan Temple
Euan's approach to mediation is strongly "solutions driven" rather than parties becoming confused by and lost in the legal process. Sympathetic, very firm, and a good lateral thinker, looking for the business X factor to open up a mutually acceptable result. Extensive and successful experience in commercial negotiations to resolve commercial differences by finding a mutually acceptable solution, is a great help in his success as a mediator since 1990. His mediation practice is built round corporate, banking, property, competition, e-commerce, Intellectual Property and professional negligence.
Eve Pienaar
Eve combines insight and empathy with a clear analytical mind to help parties in conflict find a constructive way forward. Eve's calm, assured manner ensures the mediation process is a safe environment for exploring constructive solutions. She possesses the interpersonal skills needed to mediate all kinds of workplace disputes, allowing parties to have their thoughts and opinions recognised. Eve has practiced as a solicitor for over twenty years but also has direct experience of running a business, both in the UK and France.
Eve Wilson
Eve has always been very good at building rapport and empathizing with others and is a natural mediator. She brings people skills and over 20 years legal knowledge and experience to a mediation and offers a friendly and professional service. Since 2006 Eve has worked solely as a mediator and has been involved in a large number of mediations in the civil/commercial sector as either lead or co-mediator. She has dealt with very high valued as well as extremely sensitive matters with a positive outcome for the parties involved.
Frances Place
Frances is a very experienced and able mediator. She is particularly skilled in mediating in highly emotional situations, either on relationship breakdown or in Inheritance Act/Probate disputes. She is able to help focus the parties on reaching constructive realistic settlements enabling them to put the past dispute behind them in a positive way. During 2008 Frances completed successfully at least 50 family mediations and 6 Inheritance Act/Probate Dispute Mediations.Make Contact
