ADRg Family Mediator Training
Family mediation is challenging work requiring
particular personal qualities, contextual knowledge, practical
experience and many professional skills. Skills and knowledge
acquired through family mediation training are extremely
useful in family work generally and are not restricted to
areas of conflict between separating and divorcing couples.
Family mediation skills can be applied to inter-personal
issues and offer fresh perspectives on familiar areas of
conflict between clients.
ADR Group in conjunction with the FMA offers the following Family Mediator Training Programmes:
- Family Mediator Foundation Training
Set over three separate modules in order to minimise time
out of a busy schedule, successful completion of this intensive
and interactive course leads to a recognised family mediation
qualification and the ability to apply for membership of the
Family Mediators Association and the UK College of Family
Mediators.
- Advanced Family Mediator Training
Offered at intermediate and advanced level and aimed at newly
qualified to very experienced family mediators. A wide range of courses are offered throughout
the country each year covering such topics as mediation updates,
complex financial matters and psychological aspects of separation
and divorce
- Professional Practice Consultancy
Training (PPC)
ADR Group, in conjunction with FMA and Resolution offer the
PPC training course to delegates who are already accredited
mediators and wish to train at advanced level in the area
of Professional Practice Consultancy
All training programmes are accredited by the Law Society of England and Wales, the Bar Council and the UK College of Family Mediators
