MATA Debate - Mediation Providers no longer add value

During 2006 MATA (Mediation and Training Alternatives) hosted a series of debates in London relating to various mediation related issues. The topic debated on 2nd November 2006 was “ Mediation Providers No Longer Add Value". Nicholas Pryor, an independent mediator and Katie Birch, solicitor at Linklaters spoke for the motion and Richard Schiffer, Chairman of ADR Group and Elizabeth Birch, barrister and commercial mediator and Founder of ACI spoke against the motion. The motion was defeated.
